Launder covers provide permanent solutions opposed to brushes, sprays and chemicals as they are a root cause solution. Other algae preventable solutions on the market require consumable materials, special training and are cost year over year. Protectolite’s launder covers are a one-time-cost which provide payback immediately to the plant owners and maintenance team.
The most prominent feature of Protectolite™ launder covers is the side-to-side opening design, enabling easy and safe access to the plant operators. The main cover comprises hinged panels with stainless steel hinges and fixed panels. The two types of panels are connected together using bolts.

Unlike traditional aluminum-made launder covers requiring special non-slip paint to be applied to achieve the anti-slip properties, Protectolite™ launder covers are made non-slippery from the outset, without the need to apply additional anti-slip treatment.
Much like metal covers are made non-slippery using notching, our composite launder covers are designed to maximize friction. Furthermore, unlike aluminum or stainless steel covers, they don’t require additional finishing in the form of non-slippery paint. Lastly, these covers equate the strength of metal covers while remaining lighter than aluminum, making transportation and installation a hassle-free process.
