Pro’Deck Covers are a form of decking which is made up of individual panels that are integrated/assembled together to create a highly effective tank cover strong tank covers. Weighing 5.5 lbs per square foot, the covers are light enough for 2 operators to easily install and remove for on-going project and access requirements.
Covers are self supporting up to 14’ ft with walkable applications requiring FRP or steel supports up to 24’ ft long. All covers include anti-slip surface features molded-in to the laminate. Secondary grit topping is not required compared to other materials on the market.
- High load rating: The covers can handle high loads with ease, at par with their steel or aluminum counterparts.
- Exceptional corrosion resistance: Being in close proximity to water and facing constant exposure to the elements, the covers still offer excellent corrosion resistance.
- Modular design: The panels are easy to transport and can be assembled quickly on-site. Hence, they are effective from an economic standpoint.
- Lightweight and robust: Lighter than aluminum, the FRP Pro’Deck Covers have a long service life. Therefore, they require little to no maintenance.
Pro’Deck Covers are used typically for the following applications:
- Odour control: The contaminated water in wastewater facilities emanates a bad odour. Tank covers help contain it to an extent.
- Prevent freeze-up: In colder climates, especially in certain regions of the United States and Canada, exposed water can freeze over, significantly hindering the process. Effective tank covers prevent or reduce this phenomenon.
- Algae growth control: In tandem with launder covers, tank covers can also prevent algae growth by not exposing the water to sunlight, which is an essential catalyst for algae growth.
